I am a Cowes-based marine artist and lifelong offshore sailor.

After more than 200 RORC races and 14 Fastnets, I understand how yachts sit in the water, how sails behave under load and how light, weather and sea state alter the character of a scene.

That experience is present in every yacht painting I create. The aim is not to produce a technical illustration, but to make the yacht feel convincing to the people who know her best.
